Design & Development of customized applications

Alterations and modernization of machinery.

P. G. MAVRIDIS undertakes to re-design and manufacture electronic systems for the control of machinery, instruments and devices not only used by the industry but also by R&D laboratories.

As an example, two projects recently undertaken are presented herebelow.

 
 


Re-design, development and manufacturing of electronic control units for paint stirring machine, type HSM 35 High Speed Automatic Paint Shaker, made by the Irish company CHAMALEON.

On the basis of customer's specifications, along with improvements proposed by our company in order to increase product reliability, our work included development on an AVR® RISC Microcontroller, study and PCB design of 2-level, PCB thermal analysis and replacement of main materials by others of new technology.

Twenty units were installed during 2004, which perform successfully.


Design, development and manufacturing of a control unit for a thermal tinware-welding machine.

Based on our Μ1 display and the appropriate firmware (current version), the status of the machine and its current adjustments are continuously displayed on a digital monitor. The system may send instructions to the cot unit or be by-passed.

Four Black Dog -v.2 units monitor the automation of the machine by sending instructions to its electrical valves. The temperature sensors of upper and lower cooling circuit are connected on the Black Dog units, as well as the low pressure sensor, the start and operation circle of M1 and the survey contacts of the thermal protection for the wire process motors.

  • Time control for the security of T4 & Tmax. (000,01~999,99 sec).
  • Flexibility which covers any operational speed.
  • Separate temperature monitoring of the upper and lower cooling circuits.
  • User friendly and with no need of maintenance.

As a result of this re-design and manufacturing, we achieved a welding distance of 2mm on a given network frequency of 50Hz and block speeds of 200 mm/sec.
