Research & Development
Research projects in progress.
Since 2004, P. G. MAVRIDIS has been conducting a research for the development of the following:
- An innovative measurement method based on an IFQA2 (Intelligent Fast Quantum Algorithm). This algorithm IFQA2 uses characteristics of the QED (Quantum Electrodynamics) described by Richard Feynman (Nobel of Physics 1965).
This algorithm will be applied on measurement systems of high speed and high accuracy analog signal.
- A DC to DC Converter with a new circuit structure of very low input voltage (0,9Volt) and high output (up to 96%).
This converter will be used on Fuel Cells Hydrogen of PEM technology. The PEM (Protone Exchange Membrane) Fuel Cells are electrical power generators which chemically produce electricity from hydrogen and oxygen. They are most suitable for low scale generator construction, like the ones used on vehicles, and they give an output of almost 80% against the 12-15% of internal combustion engines.
The product most likely will be used by the company Tropical S.A. for the development of the first Fuel Cells Hydrogen power generators of 1-10KW.
Tropical S.A. is involved with Fuel Cells construction and hydrogen technologies. The company also participates in many research projects with the CRES, the Institute of Technological Researches in Patras, the University of Crete and the NTUA, concerning the development of fuel cells for the production of hydrogen and electrical power using renewable energy sources.
Completed Research Projects
In 2003, P. G. MAVRIDIS undertook on behalf of Dionic S.A. to design and develop a prototype unit, type SO-100 Intelligent Oil Controller.
The unit SO-100 determines the time of change of lubricants in the internal combustion engines using a Smart Card.
This innovative method was submitted to the Industrial Property Organization (OBI) by Mr. N. Haralambopoulos who has been granted a Patent.
