Application analysis & specifications

Customers' ideas or P. G. MAVRIDIS's ideas are described and thoroughly analyzed. The specifications and instructions to be followed are made out and the patterns, to be applied on every production stage, are set.
The time and cost of the product to be manufactured, based on the quantity involved, are estimated.
This data is thereafter registered in the main product file, in order to form part of the final product's user manual and relevant specifications.

   

Circuit and diagram design

The design of any circuits and diagrams is done on a PC using specialized CAD/CAE software.
The method and design software are chosen n the basis of the particular application requirements. The design of the procedures and block diagrams, as well as the use of design software for the simulation of digital and analog circuits, contributes to the faster development and materialization of any product. In case of a software product, the design of a logic flow diagram is deemed also necessary.
Final print-outs are made at a PostScript A3 on a Laser Printer.

P. G. MAVRIDIS disposes of a large and continuously updated databank for components and subsystems manufactured by chosen leading manufacturers.. The careful selection of components and subsystems to be used is made on the basis of reliability, cost, quality and new technology applied thereupon.

P.C.B. Designing

   

The designing is carried out using CAD/CAE specialized design software for multilayer P.C.B., through hole and SMD, with Autorouter, Autoplacement, Scoring capabilities and for Surface Mount Technology and Through Hole Technology.

The safety regulations of EN60950 (IEC950), when required, are strictly followed.
The P.C.B. designing includes thermal analysis and compliance with the EMC standards, where necessary. Emphasis is given to the grounding and ground-plating. Specialized design for R.F. applications.
At the stage of P.C.B. designing, the components are procured and the dimensions are verified by proper measurements.

Low level - embedded computing

   

Software development for Atmel AVR microcontrollers, family 8051, Z80, 6801-6805 Motorola family.
Excellent knowledge of Visual C++ compilers and programming assemblers.
Software development for FPGA & PLD using Synario Universal FPGA Design on ABEL- HDL languages.
Programming of ICs using Labtool-48 Universal Programmer of Advantech or ISP.

The company is also able to:

  • Develop on Intel 80x86, Microchip PIC RISC and Texas Instruments TMS320C6000 Digital Signal Processors.
  • Develop software and materials for programming FPGA on TMS based DSP platforms.
  • Simulate and verify electronic circuits of Protel EDA and OrCad families.
  • Develop Xilinx and Altera FPGA software using VHDL material description software.
  • Develop software for design, simulation and verification of ALTERA FPGA.
